Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of design services do you offer?

I offer full-service interior design—everything from paint consultations and space planning to fabric & finish selections, furniture placement, 3D renderings, and complete room makeovers. Whether you need a quick refresh or a full transformation, we’ll tailor the process to fit your home and lifestyle.

How do I get started?

It all begins with a design consultation! During our first meeting, we’ll walk through your goals, style, and how you want your space to feel. From there, I’ll put together a plan that works for you—whether that’s a full-service design package or a more focused project.

Do I need a big budget to hire an interior designer?

Not at all! Every project is unique. Some clients come to me for a single room refresh, while others want their entire home redesigned. I’ll always help you make smart decisions for your budget while still creating a space you love.

What areas do you serve?

I work with clients throughout Lancaster, Lititz, Hershey, Harrisburg, Gettysburg, Carlisle, York, Willow Street, Reading, Lebanon, and surrounding central Pennsylvania areas.

Not local? I also work virtually, let’s chat!

Can you help if I don’t know my style?

Absolutely—that’s part of the fun! Many of my clients aren’t sure how to define their style. I’ll help guide you through inspiration photos, fabrics, and layouts to uncover what feels right for you.

How long does the design process take?

It depends on the scope! A paint consultation might be just a couple weeks from start to finish, while a full room makeover (design, ordering, and installation) could take a few months. Don’t worry—I’ll walk you through the timeline upfront so there are no surprises.

Do you work with existing pieces, or do I need to start fresh?

I love blending the old with the new! If you have special pieces—like a family heirloom or a favorite sofa—we’ll design around them and make sure they shine in your updated space.

What’s the difference between an interior designer and a decorator?

Interior design goes beyond just selecting pretty furniture. I help with space planning, layouts, finishes, functionality, and making sure your home works as beautifully as it looks. Decorating is one part of the process—but design ties it all together.

What if I don’t love the first design plan?

No worries! Design is a collaborative process. I’ll present ideas, gather your feedback, and refine the plan until it feels like “you.” Most projects include at least one round of revisions.

Why should I hire a designer instead of doing it myself?

Because you deserve a space that’s both beautiful and functional—without the stress and overwhelm! Hiring a designer saves you time, money, and guesswork. I help you avoid costly mistakes, source the right pieces, and make sure everything feels cohesive.
